Reaper
Reaper is a full-featured digital audio workstation. It is perfect for this project because it offers a very generous trial period and is very affordable for licensing.
It is intuitive and has a plethora of free instructional tutorials available online.
It is very customizable. Just about any action in Reaper can be customized.
While intuitive, Reaper can be very intimidating with its endless features and capabilities. Most of what Reaper can do is useless for session construction. I have customized Reaper for BWE and AVS creation. I call it MIND REAPER. Most of the instructional material online has nothing to do with BWE, either. I have supplied links to help you find relevant info.

I did not change the interface so much that it would not be recognizable to the online videos. The default menus can be recalled with a click of a mouse. Track templates can quickly add isochronic tones, binaural beats, light and vibration encoding, and anything needed for a professional BWE/ AVS session. Yet, there is plenty of room to customize your needs and preferences. If you already use a DAW that uses VST plugins, what is done on Mind Reaper can be applied to your platform.
